Term 3 2026: 13 July to 17 September
Grade 1 to Year 9 students: PLACES AVAILABLE
Browse our website to find out more about what we do… and how… and why!
Then, the quickest way to enquire is to email principal@elc.net.au with a little background on your student/s.
We have limited availability, so we operate a wait list system. Because our current students might request to change their session between terms to fit changing extracurricular timetables, if we don’t currently have a session time available that suits your schedule, one might open as the new term approaches.
Year 10 and 11 students: enrolments generally closed, some exceptions
Generally, our senior places are filled each year by our current students progressing into senior years.
Although unlikely, we may make occasional exceptions to enrol senior siblings of current families or returning students. However, with much “water already under the bridge” by their senior years, we have much less opportunity to catch up content or to shape students’ approach to academics. So, before considering enrolment, we must be satisfied that senior students are already “in the right place” to benefit substantially from what ELC provides.
If you suspect your middle-school student might need support through their coming senior schooling, enrolling before Year 10 might be your best bet – not only to have a spot with us through their senior years, but for us to help them into a better position, academically and mentally, before the stress and workload overtake them.
In earlier years, students have more time and headspace to build their academic mindset, to form study habits, to learn what learning and memory methods work best for their brain, and to cover the most critical content IN ADVANCE of school. This way they head into their QCE knowing they can handle it, and their school classes on pre-covered consent then serve as revision classes for them while their classmates are learning it for the first time. It also mitigates the effects of disruption due to illness, sport or competition commitments, travel, or being stuck with a teacher who doesn’t work for them.
Year 12 students: CLOSED for the year
Unfortunately, at this point in the year, we can be of limited benefit to a Year 12 student who isn’t already on track with their studies and exam preparation. We don’t feel they will get value for your money with ELC. Read our advice for seniors late in the game HERE.
Why no more senior enrolments?
With our placements always so full, we have had to cap our senior student numbers to leave space for younger students to enrol.
Younger students have more opportunity to develop their study habits and to work ahead in their curriculum.
We want to prepare our students for their best shot at senior school, reducing their chances of falling behind and needing support later on.
